The job of a food reviewer is to accurately convey the tastes, textures, smells, presentation and enjoyment of food eaten at a restaurant. You not only comment on the food but also on the atmosphere, staff knowledge and attentiveness, the way the staff treats you and respects the other customers, the speed of service, the general impression of the restaurant or cafe. Do a fair, and well-reasoned job in your write-ups and the way you treat them in your review.

Student Reactions:

Emily R.Restaurant Review
The food was tasty. I had a hamburger and it was amazing. The french fries tasted good. The serves was good and friendly. The lighting was low like every other nice restaurant. I enjoyed being able to go and do something else while my food was cooking.
Mormon Trail
My favorite part of going on the trip was the Mormon trail. I enjoyed seeing the wagon wheel. I also enjoyed the little hut. I learned the origin of the saying "sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite."
Thanks for the amazing time at the Mormon trail #rutlandomaha2014The Durham Museum
I loved how the main part of how this building looked. The architectures of it was amazing. My heart shuddered when I fond out it was plastic.
The Durham Museum had the most amazing architecture ever #rutlandomaha2014Squirrel Cage

Iesha

Strategic Air Command

If I were an astronaut I would drive the shuttle and all the other ones to. I would love to float in space and I want to try space food to see what It tastes like. I think it would be fun to float in space because there is no gravity and you weigh a very small amount. What does space food taste like and what form does it come in?

Sergeant Floyd

Floyd was the caption of the Sergeant Floyd. Lewis and Clark were with Floyd on the exposition. Sacajawea was also with Lewis and Clark and they returned her to her original tribe. Sacajawea was taken from another tribe when she was a baby.

Mormon trail

Their history are very harsh when people didn't respect their culture and I thought that was wrong. The Mormon trail was about their struggles threw life and their prize possession.
Their houses were made out of logs and mud.

Durham museum

The Durham Museum had lots of stuff there. They had trains, cars, Indians home replica and lots more. The thing I most like was the inkwell I bought for my mother it was a beautiful orange color. I loved all the things there when we could look at stuff in a group Hannah, Emily, and I watched a video of Martin Luther King Jr.

Upstream brewing
I absolutely loved their cheese cake yum yum. Their appetizers were delicious I just wanted to eat all of it if I could I back I would. The people that served us were very kind and they had pool there so we watched people play it.

Pool
I really didn't like the because it was small. I didn't stay long because I was coughing. After I left the pool and went in my room and then I had to go back down I loved to see my friends have and it was fun just to see them.

Squirrel cage jail
I loved the squirrel cage jail because it felt like I was in a scary movie. One of my friends hid in a dark cell and scared people it was funny and fun. I had fun there with my friends I would definitely go back if I could and bring my family.

This was my least favorite stop on the trip. I did not enjoy the little closet punishment cell. The jail part gave me the creeps.
Space Museum
I enjoyed being at this stop. I love space so I had a lot of fun there. It was fun to see the space craft thing.
Sergeant Floyd
I liked how the museum was an old boat and was by the river. The guy knew what he was talking about.
I had so much fun at the sergeant Floyd river museum #rutlandomaha 2014

Carter
Strategic Air Command

I would be a pilot because you would get to fly a cool plane. I would see all sorts of landmarks and fly cool missions. It would be awesome to drive a stealth jet and all other types of planes like a bomber, fighter jet, and a jet. I would rather be a pilot over a astronaut.

Muslim Trail

The travelers were on a trail because they left their homeland and gave up everything for religion. They fought threw many things and hard times.
Sargent Floyd Museum

This stop on the trip was on a man named Sargent Floyd. He served with Louis and Clark on their expedition. He was the only person who died in their branch.
Squirrel Jail

It is a jail run by a squirrel engine and it span around. They would fill in 5 people in a 2 person jail sell. It is now a retired jail and is not used anymore.
Durham Museum
The building is a retired train station and is filled with tons of cool exhibits. They have some old train cars and have a old helicopter. They taught us a lot of cool things about what was in there.

Tre'Shan
I liked the hotel because they have a pool where we can swim. And then we got to go out to eat at a fancy restaurant. I really liked the squirrel cage. I have only been to Omaha once! The food at the restaurant was really good I had a pizza! The Sergeant Floyd River Museum was really nice! They have big engines that ran the boat. The strategic Air and Space Museum was really fun they have escalator. The Durham museum was really cool because there are a lot of old stuff.

Kaylie
If I was a pilot I would fly the smallest plane. Because I would not like to fly a big one. Because I like the little planes because I think that it would be easer to fly a little plane instead a big one.
To me I think big planes are hared to fly and little planes are easy to fly.

Squirrel jail was fun and awesome and some of Iesha's pic that she took look like that there is someone there. The mannequin that was in a jail sell was my bunk buddy.

The Mormon trail was fun I liked the video in the beginning. And I liked the tour and playing that one game where you pull the stick. I lost.

The train station was fun. I got lost but it was cool. I liked going in the trains and seeing what they look like.

Avery
If I were a pilot it would be awesome! All the old planes are awesome and have changed so much in the years. They have all different kinds of planes. They have cool outfits they have changed too. They have many different features. One of them is the boom she'll is huge so the planes have to be pretty big. They also have a lot of different controls would take forever to memorize. You would have to go to school for a long time to be a pilot.
The first stop was fun and cool it had a big ship and three floors. Before they could put it there they had to make sure none of it worked. They have lots of old thing from back then. They have lots of heeds. When Lewis and Clark came they had cons that they gave all the states when they passed thought them.
The mormon trail was cool we learned about pioneers. We leared what they drove and what they did in the 1800s. They calculated miles by a bandana around the wheel it went 360 times around that was a mile. They traveled about 16 miles a day.
The train station was awesome. It had lots of trains that were old. They used to have chairs that turned into beds. It was sweet. Today they don't use them anymore. But we got to see them. They had nice sized bathrooms and really small halls.
